You really don't get the sense of scale until you notice the man, excellent image!

Glen, Set the lens at 1.5 metre and f11. I knew the far distance would not be as sharp. The harbour entrance was my prime. Dave

I read some info on the M8 and discovered it has no AA filter, nor IR filter. The Kodak sensor is rather unique also, and designed specifically for that camera. Kodak no longer makes sensors, so this combination won't be repeated. I like the colors the M8 produces.

Good DOF from this 1/1.65" sensor at full zoom on the D-Lux 4. Colors look good (on a MacBook Pro retina screen in Chrome Browser.) I like the lighting, composition and timing. I have often been impressed by pictures at LI achieved with this camera/lens.

Another M8/Summicron capture which I liked at first glance, even before I saw the technical details. I think it is partly the smooth transition to OOF areas that gives this quality to the picture.

I am always captivated by M8 colors. When a picture catches my eye, it is more often than not created with an M8.

Amusing capture. Eyebrows and teeth as well!

One of the shots which make me regret I exchanged the 1,0 with the 0,95. Replacing beauty with perfection . . not so smart! But many thanks anyway!

I need reminders about my 75/1,4 . . which is an absolutely wonderful lens. I seldom use it - somehow prefer the slightly longer Apo 90, but the 75 Lux definitely has a beauty which surpasses the 90mm. A shot like this also makes me miss my M9 - which I sold a couple of years ago - brainwashed by the peaking of the Sony E series . . .

The Oregon coast sure offers some fine images. I agree with gip about the ship.
