This was taken at memorial park for Japanese Americans in Portland Oregon - I only had a few minutes early in the morning to shoot the cherry blossoms - the light was flat however when I viewed the image on the laptop the normally grey granite stone was slightly tinted pink from the surrounding cherry blossoms - which was a nice surprise to an otherwise dismal photographic effort - the names on the stone are the locations in the western US where American Citizens of Japanese descent were relocated during W
