The is something about Leica glass - it is hard to explain but the light "pulling" is unmatched and almost creates a 3d effect - even when mounted on a Sony A7r

The only problem with shooting up there at night is the parking area is a bit sketchy with cars pulling in to meet another car then rapidly pulling out again (appeared to be drug dealing) - I just minded by own business but it's probably best to take a wing-man along to watch your backside when you are shooting with a tripod and not necessarily paying attention to the potential problems around you. This is one where I had little choice but to expose for the sun. The contrast was too great. Took 3 shots, but in the end, it was the most conservative one that is the best. Leica's Elmarit took care of the shadow details. Thanks. Fun though.
