I saw this couple on a rainy day in Times Square and I was lucky enough to get this candid shot. This was their first visit to NYC. I believe this is truly a "Forever Remembered" moment. This photograph reminds me of vintage Stieglitz and my favorite element is how the curve of the umbrella follows the curve of the light pole behind it. This arc is a delicate counterpoint to the vertical buildings and reinforces the romantic mood.
This was shot from my office window on Madison & 51st Street in Manhattan. I believe intense color came from the polorized filters on the windows to reduce heat from the sun.
