Look at that bokeh and the way it melts.

Another out of camera jpg. I'm starting to appreciate these files a little more than I ever have in the past.

On a side note, I am really loving this new Summilux classic.

Never trusted straight out of camera files much. But with the right lighting and monochrome setting on the M11, the results are not bad. Tones are descent. And even better, no need to process them other than exporting to a specific size.

Oh yes. Sweden is not the coldest country on Earth but it really does get seriously cold. 🥶

I was browsing the site and came across this image. Did not know I could post as a guest without needing an account. Nice feature.

The warm tones in the background and shadow details are very good.

People have been asking my opinion and thoughts about this lens.

So here is the low down

I sold my silver copy of the CF 50 lux. Great lens. But didn't look good on the glossy black m11. But that's just my opinion. people like different things.

I shoot with the hood on. mainly for protection. Not much sunlight out here in the pacific northwest. so the hood is rarely needed for the light. Also, the hood just adds a little more bling to the setup. Makes it look even more vintage.

Based on the Asph vs Non Asph versions on the 50 lux, I am not one that is bothered by fringing too much since I normaly convert to B&W or if the fringing is bad, I just click a button on PhotoLab and its gone. If you look at my previous posts or reviews, it is obvious that Have a personal preference towards glass that delivers biting clinically sharp images. Having said that, on paper the 50 Lux Asph, close focus is supposed to be sharper. However, I just don's see it. They both seem to be on the same playing field.

This shot with my new black beauty focused on the center leaves right in the middle of the frame. Nothing to complain about from my end.

I am lovng the way this 50 Summilux Classic is rendering. Incredibly sharp while maintaining a vintage look.

Can you tell the difference in focus with these two images? This one was shot using the range finder. And this one was shot using Live View.

This is just incredibly sharp and detailed! I can NEVER get focus like this out of my 50 lux on the M11. Maybe if I shoot on my Nikon ZF with it. But this shot you posted a while back is simply 😮

Wow. Very sharp! I feel like it's flower day. I have seen a lot of images of plants lately. Must be a sping season thing.

Yes, this gorilla is definitely capable of a lot. I wonder what this animal thinks about when it's sad or contemplative.
