I really like the atmosphere captured here with the wide angle encompassing foreground detail with the expansive landscape . My type of landscape "portrait"

Another moment captured without intrusion or contrivance, I like how asymmetric composition works allowing the principal subject remaing central. I particularly like the tonality, also, reminiscent of my old favourite Tri-X.

Dan, my late father in law , a farmer used to walk in just this way with his hands clasped behind him, a body worn with fatigue but no doubt nursing a sense of satisfaction at what has been achieved.I love the way this "vignette" is framed in the widow aperture, giving a sense of observation with out intrusion or confrontation. This whole series is for me absolutely redolent of Classic reportage with the Leica. Ian
