I love this, Dan! The scene is brilliant - the woman in the corner looks completely disgusted - if she could back away any further, she would. Then the woman with the horse looks pretty determined, and the horse is giving difficulty. Not only a wonderful BW shot, but a great story along with it....

This was a very difficult photo to take - I was in the middle of a suspension bridge shooting down and had to time the exposure to avoid too much shake from the traffic passing by. I hope you are enjoying your 135!

This is an EXCELLENT portrait per se. But I think that apart from this, I think that it combines something of Hallsman's academic style and Bresson's humanistic approach in an ingenious manner. Your portraits in general have these elements. Excellent Dierk, just excellent.
