At the wide mouth of the Columbia River, the shipping channel is quite close to the Oregon shore. Makes for easy catches of boats. Personally, I think naming the work boat a "towboat", and then seeing it push barges, is slightly ridiculous - but no one asked me…...
A natural rock formation found in Arches National Park, US - I've edited it in order to enhance what I saw within the original photograph, but have not changed the shapes found on the rock wall.
Our little part of the world got a rare amount of snow (for us) last Friday….7 inches, which is plenty to shut down our town. Probably sounds minuscule to some of you. It was beautiful, and was followed by below-freezing temperatures. This image is made up of two photos - one of the snow-topped mailboxes, and the other of the ice on our window. Happy Holidays….
