London LeicaMeet 2016 ; I wandered into Chinatown -- light very poor so I used full aperture on the 50mm f2 Summicron - I scanned a colour print. I had only 64 ASA Rated 'Tudor' ( Fuji) 100 film loaded outdated 2005.
First visit to Brick Lane, London -- lots of other photographers there ! I had only outdated Agfa Scala 200 rated 100 ASA to use up but got some good results at f2.8 or even f1.4 -- I processed the film in home-made ID11 1+1 for 12 mins at 20oC
I was huddling on the shore of Lago Pehoe, trying to photograph clouds of water droplets whipped by gusts of wind off the surface of this cold, glacial lake , when these two Danish backpackers suddenly appeared and took a dip in the lake. I had just enough time to squeeze a few shots, before they froze...
I used my 1966 Carl Zeiss WERRAMATIC camera made in GDR for this photo -- I missed the deadline for 'Commie Camera Week' with this. I was out in Brentwood High Street and saw these three 'Characters' and had a laugh with them -- they said they were going to audition for 'Last of the Summer Wine' ( a famous British TV comedy programe where most of the characters have died) I used outdated Ilford FP4+ and processed in home-made ID11 formula 1+1.
More tests with my 'gift' CONTAX RTS II Quartz and the Planar lens -- here is a Window Cleaner in action -- I had to focus quickly before he saw me ! I used outdated Fuji Super G 100 film rated at 64 ASA and home-processed in C41. I think there may be a LIGHT LEAK now in the film plane-- see the red area below -- I had to change the mirror bumper foam as on use it all crumbled after so many years of non-use.
I was GIVEN a 1982 CONTAX RTS II Quartz with the 50mm f1.4 Planar lens so I tested it in Brentwood High Street at full aperture. Camera had been banged so frame counter does not work, but lens seems OK.
My Old Friend Bart who gave me this Rolleiflex 3.5E Planar, with one of his famous funny 'self-portraits' I used full aperture with no flash by window-light.
Royal Caribbean Cruise ship 'Navigator of the Seas' Eastern Mediterranean trip from May 26th 2013 calling at Sicily,Pireus,Kusadasi ( Turkey), Chania ( Crete) and back to Rome. I used my 1986 LEICA M6 for colour and 1965 M2 for B&W . The colour was all outdated, 2006 Fuji NPS 160 I rated at 80ASA and some Fuji Reala 100 2005 I rated at 80 ASA and had processed by BOOTS of Brentwood High Street. I scanned the 6x4" prints with my old 'MUSTEK 1200 UB' flatbed and PhotoShop 7 . Flash was a Miranda 630CD unit. The shows in the Ship's Theatre were all available light at f2 on the 1989 50mm Summicron and other lenses were a 1966 Canadian Leitz 35mm f1.4 Summilux and a 1957 90mm f4 collapsible Elmar..
2006 Outdated Fuji NPS 160
Trying some 'Cartier-Bresson' type photos in my Town -- here I used a 1936 lens on a 1934 Leica II body ! Film was outdated 'Boots' 200 ( AGFA)I rated at 100 ASA and processed myself in C41
