I created this film noir story and shoot for a uni elective. I took this photo on a Canon EOS Elan ii with Illford Delta 3200 black and white film. I developed the film myself in the darkroom. Finally I photographed the physical print with my (pictured) girlfriend's Sony RX1.
4 artificial light sources.
Darkroom printing - F8, grade 2.5 filter, 34 seconds. The lamp is burnt for 10 seconds.
I intentionally didn’t spot the grainy print to add to the ‘aged film noir’ aesthetic.
This was shot from my office window on Madison & 51st Street in Manhattan. I believe intense color came from the polorized filters on the windows to reduce heat from the sun.
This group of photos was shot in the 70's and I never printed them, I just came across the negs today while looking for something else.
Shot on Kodak Kodacolor 100.
