Bokehlicious renders from the 50 Summilux Classic re-issue

For years, I was a die hard disciple of clinical sharpness. My gear pursuit was simple, hunt down the most modern, highly corrected glass possible lenses engineered to resolve every single with absolute precision while still delivering a smooth,  perfect bokeh.

I demanded flawless resolution like what the Zeiss 35mm Distagon ZM delivers, and thought that optical perfection was the ultimate goal for my photography.

Then, I mounted the Leica 50mm Summilux Classic Line to my camera. It completely broke my framework. Stepping away from the cold, sterile perfection of modern engineering, this lens reminded me what photography actually feels like when you prioritize personality over a pixel peeping. It didn't just change my mind,  it entirely reframed how I see light and depth. I am now a firm believer in the power of that classic, unmistakable rendering and the following images show exactly why.
