Your photos are dark, but that is because you like drama. After all it was the Greeks who created the word.
I do appreciate your taking the time and effort to ease my despair. Have had a long period of several deaths and tragedy for the past couple of years, this probably triggered it. Actually, came back to photography after a very long absence, it is now my therapy and antidote.
Living in Manhattan am no stranger to homelessness, but this one was different, trust me, but am too shy to confront someone. This is not in my makeup. We all deal with life in different methodology.

As it commonly in said shit can always happen. Usually I am said that my photos are dark, but really I cannot help it. When I am getting out with the camera in hand I cannot look for smiling peple in the sun. I am looking for subjects usually half in the light and half in the dark. As it usually happens in our lives. More than forty years back I embedded the lyrics " My words but a whisper your deafness a shout, I may make you feel but i can't make you think, your sperm's in the gutter your love in the sink.." By Jethro Tull. I believe that they express the context of this photo very accurately. It is a very nice picture, but before you feel sadness please think about the first part of my note. Shit can always happen and they might be shitter than the lonely man in the park. In such cases when I feel sad and darker inside, I put the camera aside and approach my subject trying to have a word with him/her. Usually It helps. Probably it helps me more, as "...my words but a whisper your camera's click but a SHOUT" it is not the case any more.
