If you are interested about the "pictorialism"
I recommend taking a look at the works of:
Peter Henry Emerson (1856/1936)
Henry Peach Robinson (1830/1901)
They are two Britons of the first real pioneers of "pictorialism in photography"
The photograph has been hand painted long. Now you can paint with software, but the hand of man and the imagination must continue directing the process, always.

Not exactly sure what the story is however - had to understand because only two of the people died in the same year and one of the people was 100 years old (1909 -2009) so I don't know if they all were in an accident and ran off the cliff together or this was just a place/view they all enjoyed in life
