There's a lovely overall tonality to this, Lilia, that makes it so attractive - and the dark background enhances the sense of impending changes.

Steve, I haven't seen your street portraits for a long time (my own fault), and this is just superb - that direct gaze and your BW processing....very, very nice.

Such an elegant swoosh of the staircase, and your BW processing is perfect.

Thanks to all of you who commented or "liked" - I feel I can't take too much credit for this, as it only took the act of looking at the clothes line to get the image. One of those accidents that happens when we have camera in hand.

Thanks, JT! Sony has many years of experience with peaking on their pro video cameras, and have, with great success, brought this on to their NEX. I don't know too much about the other NEX models, but the NEX-7 is a sheer wolf in sheepskin. I sold my M9 recently; bought a second NEX-7 instead! So, with some training I prefer my manual Leica lenses to any autofocus . . provided I have the peaking function intact! (I preordered the M, but dropped it after hands-on, it's lightyears after the NEX, operation wise)

Great DOF control. Love this shot and the framing. How do you find focusing with the NEX using the manual lenses? Difficult?

Thank you! Actually this shot is a spin-off, grabbing my own camera after having helped them out with their own cameras . . .

Absolutely! But - as you can tell from the photo; I had no offer she couldn't refuse!
Thanks anyway!
