Thank you. Not quite the Austrian Alps, the dump does have its morbid charm. I de-saturated the yellow excavator and everything else, to keep them un-distinguished.
Chris,
Thank you for stopping by and your kind words about this image. Also, thank you for sharing your knowledge of these clouds and the origin of their name. I just know they (Mammatocumulus) usually cause trouble whenever they are present...like a bad thunderstorm.
Best regards,
Robert
Thank you. Sells only chicken rice, famous for it and always crowded. The pic was taken at 8.30, just from the dim street lamps. Thus the ISO 1600. The 7R seems to be quite comfortable with it.
I guess it was the shapes and the reflecting light that made this patch of car park stand out from the rest. I asked my wife to go ahead, while I ponder over this. Thank you.
Thank you. I was in the M toilet at 5am, when I noticed how pretty the view was outside. I pulled out my camera for a quick shot before others come in. In the right lighting, many things can be charming, if we allow them.
Mammatus, also known as mammatocumulus (meaning "mammary cloud"), is a meteorological term applied to a cellular pattern of pouches hanging underneath the base of a cloud.
Great shot with the classic Summicron.
Thank you. The A7R has 36MP. Coupled with the 35 Summilux, the pic was sharp, sharper than the pic uploaded, which seemed to have lost some of the colours vibrancy.
Thank you. I took it for fun. Must be dizzying t sort through the choices. I pushed up the contrast to emphasise the shoes. Seems Cinderella left only left shoes. Glad you like it.
