This photograph is right at the limits of unguided fixed tripod imaging of astronomical subjects. I have been intrigued with other's photos that use "stacking" of multiple exposures to build detail in the Milky Way but I wanted to take a run at shooting it with a single pass shot in dark skies without an equatorial mount. This is the result.
Do you have to do anything special to get a nice shot like this? Whenever I shoot the night sky, I get movement blurs on the stars.
