This picture is from a 30 year old Ektachrome (1984) which was stored in a three ring binder in a slide page. There is some dirt on it. I copied it using a micro-nikkor 55mm lens on a NEX-5T using a lightbox as a source.
First time I have used this method. Read about it recently, and thought it could be done more simply with existing equipment. I think the Micro-Nikkor macro lens is important because it is designed for a flat field, like a slide, so there is no fall off in the field. I was surprised that the "scan" quality was so good. I like the results better than flat bed scanning.
Not a bad image. Surprised this technique worked so well. Have you tried this before?
