Am fortunate to live one block away from the river and promenade.
Manhattan is a small island, 11 miles long x 1.5 miles wide. The interior is crowded with skyscrapers, office buildings, brick & mortar.
The plan is to have the promenade encircle the entire circumference with walkways, benches, dog parks, and sports activities. Believe it is about 75% complete. For those who live here, as most commute from outer boroughs, these promenades are a salvation for our sanity and well being.
