Born 1952 at Volos. Grown-up in Athens. Educated as an Economist in Greece and U.K. Self taught photographer. Something like a Renaissance Man.
An Economist by study, a Technocrat by trade, a Medieval Researcher by love and a Photographer by passion. I've been In photography for more than forty years, sometimes also a professional, nowadays strictly an amateur or as I use to say "A Photographer at large".
Photographic Mentor: Eugene W. Smith, Photographers that admire: Joseph Kudelka, Diane Arbus, Bruce Davidson, Edward Bubat, Ernst Haas, Steve McCurry, Don McCullin, William Eggleston, Constantine Manos, Joel Meyerowitz, Nikos Economopoulos and Martine Frank.
Love to shoot in perspective, hate to deliberately shoot close-ups of people in misery.
Still shooting on film as well as on digital. Using a a variety of systems, Leica being one of them.
Interested and experimenting on several photographic genres I hope that I will carry on like this as I find it is soothing for the soul.
