We love Suffolk and try to visit every year, Southwold is a very popular resort and this pharmacy shows how the town, like many parts of Suffolk, retains a feeling of the past.

You are right, I had some photos taken in Scotland in the early 1970's that I processed myself and gave the slides a fetching green colour!! Anyway I scanned the most important ones a few years ago and just hit 'Auto Color' in Photoshop - WOW!
Wensleydale is in North Yorkshire, Miller's Dale in The Derbyshire Peak District and they're different areas, if the place you visited was a long wide valley it would probably be the Dales of Yorkshire, if the river ran through narrower valleys and there were steep Edges in the area it would be the Peak District. Glad to see you're hooked on our unhealthy diet!! Got to say I'd suffer if I couldn't get the occasional Cod, Chips and Mushy Peas! I presume your Dad emigrated before you were born. I worked in Sheffield for about 7 years and we still go to the city every few months.
