During the Great War Douglas supplied the War dept 25,000 348cc twin cylinder motorcycles, used by despatch riders.

Built on the site of one of the ten oldest mosques that were in the city of Valencia at the time of its conquest by King James I the Conqueror in 1238. The mosque was transformed into a church continuing the same factory Muslim. Over time this ancient mosque became too small for worship and was demolished, building new plant a church in Gothic style between 1372 and 1401. The side covers were finished in 1388.
