Charles, you have a real knack for getting personality into your portraits - this is wonderful - the woman looks happy, the older child a little tired, and the cutie in the back trying hard to be included. Well done.

I like this. Especially the blurred look which ads action to the photo. Keeping the horse to the left of the frame combine with the blurred image really animates this. Nice!

Gip,John, Thank you for the Like. She is a filly, female, now a grown and famous Arabian show horse. And not to dispute, but technically they are not the same color, it is the Sun making them appear so. Different "moms", all Arabians though. This is the period when they are weaned from the moms (mares), and placed the safe paddock with at least two donkeys for guards. (The donkeys are far more intelligent then horses, and will protect them with their lives if necessary) They whine all night and day for weeks. ( Ergo placed in pastures far end of ranches) But just part of growing up horse! I love to go into their paddocks, gently, slowly and show them nothing to fear. Always with palms of hands turned up so they may smell you're intent. Speak in a low, soft voice and most times they will allow you to just mingle with them. A real joy!
